The Fountain Show II, Sundy, London

The Fountain Show II - Sundy, London; I was invited by the directors of Sundy to produce a fountain for the second of their biannual Fountain shows.

For this I produced a bird bath and a bird house titled "Why’s the sky blue, why’s water wet?" The work was made out of glazed stoneware in 2 pieces: the bird bath being 17 x 26 x 29.5 cm and the birdhouse being 18 x 30 x 27 cm.

The work played with the history of fountains, exploring how something so often decadent and used as a status symbold could be reclaimed to serve a more quotidian need, offering a drink for birds as well as a home.
